What is mental masturbation?

I love this new season brothers!

As our Thursday group pressed into the Wild at Heart material and Fellowship Monrovia finished up the James Series and we anticipate the coming Waking the Dead journey I continue to feel my heart drawn more towards living in the freedom and boldness Christ purchased for us.

Do you?

We are given the authority to cast out demons and heal the sick, we are co-heirs with Christ given the same Holy Spirit that raised the dead. We may not be able the manifest that in the physical realm but our battle is not of this world but instead spiritual in nature against the enemies of our own soul and relationships.

Ephesians 6:12 For our struggle is not against flesh and blood, but against the rulers, against the powers, against the world forces of this darkness, against the spiritual forces of wickedness in the heavenly places

It is to that end that I woke this morning with an old friend – the desire and willingness to step into my blog. I’ve written in it for years however it has been months since I’ve been in a space to slow down and process my own journey of redemption and press into the joy of being transparent in my own struggles within that medium.

If you are even remotely interested then check out my journey of redemption blog-site and the latest entry entitled Mental Masturbation.

Blessings in Christ,

Life is hard, and change is inevitable. Sometimes it is welcomed, and other times it is overwhelming. As a child abuse survivor who has struggled with mental illness such as anxiety, PTSD, ADD, OCD, addictions and mountains of self-worth issues, I now find myself resilient, empowered and filled with gratitude most days. But that doesn't come easy or natural. It takes intentionality. It takes faith. It takes patient endurance. It takes incredible amounts of self-awareness, honesty, humility, and courage to make choices that are the polar opposite of how you feel. It takes vision and determination, hope and healing. I'm glad you stopped by my blog, I hope you found something of use as I transparently share my journey with others, the highs and the lows, the wisdom and the blunders, in the hopes that my mess becomes a message of hope, encouragement, and strength for even one person. .
